10 Nights Rome, Milan & Ischia Or Sorrento Or Sardinia Or Sicily W/Air

We stayed here two days before a cruise and one day after a cruise in June 2024. It's a nice, clean hotel and served its purpose. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions we had. Yes, the rooms are small, and the elevator is small. Just make it work people. There is a taxi stand out and to the right across the street. The bus stop is right across the street. The staff can sell you a 90 minute ticket. We did not use the metro, but I believe it is a couple of blocks away. There's a few restaurants nearby that seem more authentic and reasonable than those near sightseeing areas. Some are closed in the late afternoon until 7:30 because they eat later there. We ate at Pepe's around the corner a few times and really liked it. You will pay for a bottle of water, about 2.50-3.50 euros everywhere. There's also convenient stores and a pharmacy nearby. There's bar service from 7PM-9PM in the lobby, first round is free. There's breakfast in the morning til 9AM that we ate at every morning that was very good. Scrambled eggs, bacon , ham slices, cheese, fruit, various pastries, juice, milk, coffee. Nice staff there too, and a nice view. Check-in is at 1PM, but we got lucky and our room was ready at 11:30 both times. The A/C in the room was nice to have after walking around in the heat all day. We rode bus 87 from across the street down to the Coloseum for $1.40 euro I think, bought the ticket from the front desk, scan it on the machine when you get on. From there we walked to other areas. But there are other times we needed taxis for various reasons. If you're good at dealing with mass transit, you can get around Rome fairly easily it seems. One thing we're told by the taxis, I suppose is true, is the hotel is not in the central (within the Aurelian Wall) of Rome, so the rate will go up some, even though it is VERY close. Currently, it's 50 euros from the airport to hotels in the city center, it was 65 for us. A ripoff, but not the hotel's fault. Be very careful dealing with taxis, they will try to rip you off one way or another, or say they don't take credit cards etc. so they can raise the rate. Best to use an app, they don't have Uber drivers I don't believe, but the app links to the Italian taxi app that locks in the payment within a certain range, so that's the best way. Taxis usually don't stop when hailed, they stop at taxi pool areas. But our stay was nice, and the staff definitely helped with our American questions. Thank you to them. Every shift we interacted with was helpful. Definitely a good deal we thought, and I would stay there again.

Well situated near the metro station and shops some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Also lovely cafe eateries close by. Hotel staff were on hand to answer any questions and friendly, we had an early flight they phoned a taxi 2 am arrived within 10 minutes. Hotel was clean free coffee machine at the side of lifts. Rooms were clean and tidy small but functional great shower we were on the third floor I would suggest a room with a balcony great shower. Although on the front the road is very busy but not noisy in room. Would recommend especially for a short stay. Metro easy to use for getting to sightseeing destination.

A truly wonderful stay at Best Western Piccadilly. We were greeted with a warm welcome from Chiara on reception. She was informative and helped us plan our sightseeing. We stayed on the 8th floor with fantastic views across the city. Breakfast was delicious each morning. Julio on reception was helpful in ordering a taxi at 430am to return to the airport. Great staff. Clean hotel. Ideally situated. We walked to colleseum, Trevi fountain, Pantheon and Spanish steps. Metro close by. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Excellent service throughout. Chiara was amazing. We will definately be returning. A huge thank you.

An excellent hotel. We have been visiting here since 2009 . Its a warm ,friendly and relaxing hotel. The hotel has recently had some refurbishment. The reception area is large and airy. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. The bedding and pillows good quality. The room has tv ,wifi, tea and coffee making facilities. There is ample storage. The bathroom has an excellent shower unit. Good quality bathroom cosmetics. There is a balcony with table and chairs. The breakfast offers hot and cold choices. It is presented very well in a bright and airy dining room. There is a restaurant and bar on the roof terrace. The pool area is quiet and relaxing. It is very clean and well maintained.In my opinion it is an excellent choice. The asset of this hotel is without a doubt the staff.

This is very nice, four-star hotel in the Ponte Ischia section of the island not far from the Castello Argonese. It is about a 5-10 taxi ride from Porto Ischia. The nearby town has several excellent restaurants with the emphasis of fresh seafood. I would avoid Ristorante A’Paranza. Although the food was very good, the owner kind of Shanghai-ed into a very expensive dinner. The hotel is small, quiet and charming with beautiful white and blue color themes. The positives: staff was uniformly wonderful, especially Lorenzo, at the reception desk who seemed to work non-stop. Our room was a little small, but had a nice little balcony with a table and chairs and a (distant) water view. Fluffy bathrobes and slippers are provided in the rooms. Restaurante Argonese offered a fabulous gourmet dinner with the most attentive and professional staff you will find. The pool area was clean with comfortable lounge chairs and had a small restaurant near it staffed by another friendly and attentive employee. The pool water was cooler than I would have liked. The spa was OK although we didn’t use any of the services offered. The full breakfast is served by a wonderful staff with great la carte choices and ample quantities. Negative: the water pressure in the shower was very low. All-in-all, we were very pleased with the hotel.

This was our second stay at this hotel and it was just as good as the first. I cannot understand the poor reviews regarding the breakfast as it was amazing. If having an English breakfast is the difference between life and death to you then this is not the hotel for you however we felt that the food quality and variety was exceptional. So many different breads, pastries, mini muffins, donuts, tarts, plum and amaretti cake, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, salad, cheese, cold meats, pancakes, waffles plus cooked tomatoes, potatoes, eggs, bacon and mini hotdogs. There were also fruit juices, hot drinks and some bubbly. I am sure I have forgotten something! The hotel is clean, friendly and peaceful despite its central location. Step outside the front door and turn left and a few minutes down the road you have the train station and buses. A bit further along and you are in the main square with another short walk to a lift which takes you down to the port if the stairs are too much for you. The staff are all friendly and helpful with special thanks to Francesco and his colleagues in the dining room, Ugo and the roof top bar staff and house keeping for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing with their Italian hospitality. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel and if we have the good fortune to return to Sorrento we would not hesitate to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 7 days. The location is perfect, a stone’s throw away from Piazza Tasso and the drains. Which means you are near lots of lovely restaurants and shops. The train station is also 2 minutes walk away. The hotel has a lovely large restaurant with helpful staff, particularly helpful was Francesco. The hotel has three sun bathing areas which are all very good. We had a room with a very large terrace that had beautiful Bougainvillea growing each side. It backed onto the train station, which was no problem whatsoever. The hotel manager Gian Marco Russo was always very visible and extremely helpful and pleasant, we had an issue with our room and he was extremely quick to resolve it. We will definitely return to this charming hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very near the airport. Parking was easy with a large lot adjacent to the hotel. The rooms were comfortable with a good shower and nice balcony. There was a sliding door across the balcony to shut out the street noise. The only issue was the air conditioning was turned on yet so the room was a little stuffy. The staff was very helpful and brought us a fan which took care of the issue. They property also had a nice pool area. The hotel restaurant was excellent. The staff was very good and the food was delicious. The breakfast was great with a large assortment of fruit, cheese, meats. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed a week in this tiny hotel. It is very conveniently located within walking distance of everything in downtown Catania. The rooms were very well taken care of. I particularly liked the central air conditioning (better than a window mounted loud unit). This helped maintain a very comfortable temperature to beat the extremely hot Catania summer. Combined with the ability to completely darken the room this made it possible to rest anytime during the day or night. The breakfast provided was just okay with capuchino coffee as well as pastries and yogurt. My sister needed gluten free food and they provided some gluten free bread and pastries as well as lactose free milk and yogurt. We bought fruit at the huge outdoor market and supplemented the breakfast with delicious fresh fruit.

Modern hotel in a convenient and central location, served by a stop of the airport shuttle bus. It is small (fully transparent name: though, why do rooms have a 3-digit number if there are only 8 ?) and sort of minimalistic, but clean, functional and quiet. Some easy improvements could make a big difference, such as a little tray in the shower (I had to keep the soap on the floor) and a towel hook near the wash basin (I had to use the bidet to hold the hand towel). There is a tiny terrace for the ground floor rooms, while upstairs there are more pleasant little balconies for each room. There is a little enclosed area available for car parking, not sure if available to guests. The staff was cordial and helpful. I found the price commensurate with its characteristics. I would go back, but ensure I have a room upstairs.
